Our vision is to realize everyone’s true potential. Our mission is to make it happen with fair and accurate talent matching.
We believe that AI will play a critical role in shaping the world for the better, but only if it’s built to be human-centered and ethical. That's why we follow these guidelines.
Unbiased hiring is only possible with assessments that measure people in a fair way. Unfortunately, it is still legal to discriminate against underrepresented groups if they don’t perform as well on cognitive tests, which are known to be biased. If we want to change the makeup of the workforce, we must challenge these traditional assessment methods.
It’s not enough to help our clients build diverse teams. Diversity needs to become society’s expectation. We lead by example and give everyone open source access to our de-biasing tool called AuditAI. It uses an expansive reference set of data to highlight any gender and ethnic bias.
Our mission is to make hiring more fair, and that includes for people who need accessibility accommodations. We provide varying versions of our assessments to meet the needs of users with disabilities, and we are always working to expand our range of accommodated conditions. As we develop modified assessments, we conduct rigorous tests to ensure they result in equitable outcomes.
We involve the people who will be affected by our technology in our design process. This is why we started a Candidate Advisory Council, allowing candidates to beta test and provide feedback throughout our product development. We also have a Product Advisory Council for our clients to do the same.
Each step of the pymetrics process has been implemented in compliance with the Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures (UGESP). This includes job analysis, criterion-related validation (concurrent validity and predictive validity), reliability, and fairness.
While the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) does not rubber-stamp assessment products as compliant or non-compliant with its guidelines, each step of the pymetrics process was designed with UGESP in mind and is implemented using methods that adhere to these regulations.
pymetrics games are designed in a way that ensures compliance with the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA).
pymetrics currently offers accommodations for color-blindness, learning disabilities and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). We are also actively working on widening the range of accommodated disabilities.
